Business Continuity
The primary guiding principle behind Crisis Commander’s design is ease of use. All of the software’s features are based on a standard methodology for business continuity management. Together they provide the framework and communications infrastructure that enable you to develop an effective business continuity plan for use during a crisis or other unexpected business interruption. Business continuity features include:
Built-in Setup Assistance
Crisis Commander can easily be adapted to meet the specific needs of your organization. As you walk through the setup process step by step, you’ll be prompted to establish Emergency Operations Centers and alarm routines, create business continuity plans, develop meeting agendas, schedule business continuity plans and other documents for updates, edit press release templates and other essential tasks.
Plan Development and Management
Develop and manage your business continuity plans with ease using Crisis Commander. Import existing plans into Crisis Commander with a few clicks of your mouse, create new plans directly in Crisis Commander, or adapt one of our many templates to meet your organization’s needs.
Our Mission Control Center module also enables you to share and send plans, documents, contact lists and meeting agendas between all systems within a group. Plans may also be edited on the fly during a crisis, enabling you to adapt documentation to the exact circumstances on the ground.
Numerous Plan and Document Templates
Each Crisis Commander system includes plan templates for a variety of crisis situations, including: pandemic, serious accident, IT outage, HQ relocation and more, as well as over 100 support document templates. All Crisis Commander templates may be adapted to meet the specific needs of your organization.
Update Reminders
All business continuity plans, documents, contact lists, etc within the Crisis Commander system may be scheduled for periodic updates. Updates may be assigned to a specific team member(s), and update reminder emails are automatically sent to appropriate parties. In the event that updates are not completed in a timely manner, the system automatically escalates to a pre-defined administrator.
Unlimited Storage for Notification Contact Lists
With Crisis Commander you may create or import contact lists quickly and easily for employees, customers, vendors, etc. Add a media contact list of pre-defined key media contacts to enable rapid communication with the media during a crisis. Then use Crisis Commander to monitor media coverage of the incident.
Use your contact lists with our advanced emergency notification system to achieve optimal crisis communication.
Meeting Room with Pre-Set or Dynamic Agendas
Crisis Commander’s Meeting Room enables your teams to create pre-set, flexible agendas for crisis and business continuity meetings, improving meeting effectiveness. All meeting agendas may be activated, changed and edited in real-time, and all minutes taken and decisions made during the meeting are logged and stamped with the time, date and user.
Team Chat Room and Blogging Site
The Crisis Commander Forum, a chat room and blogging site accessible only by the Crisis Commander users in your organization, enables you to coordinate activities during large-scale incidents and training exercises. The Forum also enables you to brainstorm solutions to and progress on specific issues.
